Devilpriest - Where I Am The Chalice, Be Thou The Blood. Review.

Time for a pearl among the latest albums. Namely Devilpriest. And the latest work - Where I Am The Chalice, Be Thou The Blood is complete one hundred percent. Let's start with the fact that necro Docre said in an interview for the Polish Musick Magazine that the new album will be the last part of the trilogy. I agree, it is a logical extension of the two previous albums. You can feel the lyrical and musical continuity. We are dealing with Death/Black Metal, the lyrics are radically satanic, which necro Docre also mentioned. Praise should be given to both gentlemen - necro Docre (masterful drums) and T.H (venomous vocals and guitar blizzards). What they created deserves its own league in this music. The sound of the album is also great - natural, clear and organic, all the instruments can be heard perfectly. An album for many hours of listening, which is no small feat in today's overstimulated times. Bravo, gentlemen. I will definitely listen to this album for a very long time, and if I have the opportunity, I will buy the CD version. I'm going back to listening. Hail Devilpriest 馃馃敟

Medico Peste - Aesthetic Of Hunger. Review.

After a very long wait, we finally got a worthy successor to the Tremendum Et Fascinatio album, because I will pass over the last The Black Bile in silence. On the latest work of Medico Peste, from the very beginning we are dealing with a multi-layered work. The music evolves with every second and turns into a specific vision of Black Metal. Production is also at the highest level, the sound is selective and organic. An additional flavor is the trumpet used in a few places. It is worth taking the time and delving into the world created on the latest Medico Peste album. Which I am doing right now.

Sijjin - Helljjin Combat. Review.

Another Great album by Sijjin. Great riffs, crushing drums, c
omplex musical structures. Light influences from thrash metal. and a unique vocal. Selective and meaty sound. Some people should learn from Sijjin how to record Death Metal albums. Candidate for the top three albums of the year in the Death Metal category. Hail Sijjin.

Misotheist - Vessels By Witch The Devil Is Made Flesh. Review.

After some trouble, I received a package from Van Records, containing the latest Misotheist album and a T-shirt. I'm lucky that I wasn't tempted to listen to the album when it was posted on Bandcamp, etc. In the case of the band's two previous albums, the albums were unlistenable to me, all because of the sound (I couldn't hear anything and turning up the volume with the potentiometer didn't help). . What comes first is the improved sound - you can finally hear the bass and the vocals as well. However, I would improve the drums to make it sound more powerful. The album consists of three songs, which translates into 38.22 minutes of Norwegian black metal. Despite the long compositions, there is no boredom - there is a lot going on in each composition, just listen carefully and you will catch all the hidden nuances. The world of Misotheist is certainly not for everyone, you need patience and understanding this dark musical world. I still have many listens to this great album, which I will gladly do and I recommend it to every listener of good Norwegian black metal. The graphic design deserves special praise - although there is no booklet with lyrics, the graphics and the slipcase are very impressive. The album will definitely appear in the year's summary in the global black metal category. AVE.

M膩nbryne - Interview.

Hail Pawe艂. First of all, congratulations on the great new album by M膩nbryne. In my immodest opinion - it is a strong candidate for the album of the year in Polish black metal.

Let's start with the beginnings of the band.

1. What was the goal behind founding M膩nbryne, what were your assumptions regarding the band, what was the concept behind it?

S: Manbryne is a kind of spiritual successor and continuation of the idea initiated in Oremus, read sublime black metal with an existential touch.

2. It is also worth mentioning your parent band - Blaze Of Perdition. Is a new album already in the works? I do not hide that the previous album - The Harrowing Of Hearts in 2020 made a huge impression on me. Will you continue along the chosen path on this particular album?

S: The new Blaze of Perdition is ready, but it's too early for me to go into details, because the album hasn't even been announced yet. It will be released next year, again on Metal Blade Rec.

3. Let's move on to recording. Tell me about the creation of the album. I'd say that the sound is simply masterful, it's organic, you can savor finding various hidden gems here and there.

S: Creating an album is a laborious and really uninteresting process for outsiders, so it's hard for me to elaborate on it in any way. Although we have the outline of the concept and direction defined in advance, our materials are created very intuitively and I'm not able to outline any specific work methodology, because many components appear in layers during the creation. We are happy with the sound. It's a bit less legible than on the debut, but it gained its striking power, to put it simply - the album has a clearly bigger bullshit,

4. Another thing is the lyrics - they are in our native language (this is a great advantage). Since I am more of a Polish philologist than a mathematician, I pay a lot of attention to lyrics written in Polish. Your lyrics reach me one hundred percent, I am fascinated by them. It is known that there are as many interpretations as there are people. If you can, tell me what the concept behind the lyrics is?

S: The album once again touches on existential themes and issues related to the darker side of human nature and their place in the world. This time, however, we have less introspection, and I have targeted man as a collective and his influence on the reality in which he finds himself. I leave the interpretation of the lyrics to each individual, it does not have to agree with my own.

5. What about concerts. Will there be a concert with your participation in my hometown of Warsaw?

S: There are quite a few offers, but we are quite selective. At the moment there are no specifics related to the capital.

6. You also run your own business related to computer graphics. Tell us a little about what you create.

S: There is no philosophy behind it. I got interested in graphics a dozen or so years ago and when I acquired the right skills, I gradually started to move towards earning money thanks to the accumulation of new contacts with labels and bands. At first I worked mainly for Pulverized Rec., and over the years other opportunities appeared. It gives me a lot of joy, so I combine business with pleasure.

7. It may be a clich茅, but what records have recently made a big impression on you, how do you rate the new Marduk album?

S: I don't listen to much new stuff, so apart from Marduk, not much comes to mind. A great album, easily one of the best in their discography, which is quite an achievement for a band with a long career and such a catalog of releases. I really like the upcoming, yet unannounced Wij. I'm also curious about the return of Thorns and the new Vemod.

8. Since the lyrics are in Polish, what books can you recommend for reading? :)

S: I'm not a bookworm, my lyrics fly out of my head in 99%.

9. Anyone who has listened to and read the lyrics from BOP's previous albums at least a little knows about your contact with the occult and the left-hand path. I have always treated these things as part of life and the spiritual path. It's been known for a long time that all grimoires, demonology are fascinating for people who explore these topics. Do you still feel connected to these topics, part of all this?

S: Occultism has more in common with psychology for me than magic or some mysterious knowledge for the chosen ones, and that's how I approach it - it's one of the ways of looking inside myself. It's also hard for me to talk about being a part of anything, because my spiritual journeys are rather a lonely path through introspection and I've always avoided any form of collective.

10. Where will you be able to hear and see interviews with M膩nbryne in the near future, some radio, online?

S: Radio ones, probably nowhere, but there will be some in the press ki.
